User Agreement
Last updated: October 2026
This agreement explains the rules for people who use LotusBookings to find and book services. Please read it before you book.
1. About this agreement
LotusBookings is operated by LotusBookings LLC, a Virginia (USA) limited liability company ("LotusBookings", "we", "us"). This User Agreement applies to you when you browse our marketplace, create a client account or book an appointment through us.
By using LotusBookings as a client you agree to this agreement, together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you receive text messages from us, the SMS Terms also apply. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Businesses and professionals who list their services are covered by a separate Participation Agreement.
2. Who can use LotusBookings
- You must be 21 years of age or older.
- LotusBookings is offered only in the United States.
- You must be able to enter into a binding agreement, and you must not have been removed from LotusBookings before.
3. What LotusBookings is, and what it is not
LotusBookings is an online marketplace and booking software. Independent businesses and professionals list their services with us, and clients find and book them. These include barbers, hair stylists, braiders, nail technicians, brow and lash artists, facial and skin care providers, waxing providers, makeup artists, tattoo and piercing studios, massage therapists and spas.
We are a technology platform. LotusBookings does not perform the services, is not the employer of the professionals, and is not responsible for the service you receive. When you book, your agreement for the service is with the business or professional you chose.
Each business decides its own services, prices, hours, staff and policies. Questions about how a service was performed should go to that business first. If you cannot resolve it, write to us and we will try to help.
4. Your account
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else or pretend to be someone else.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
5. Booking an appointment
Before you confirm a booking, we show you the service, the price, the date and time, and the business's cancellation, no-show and deposit policy. Confirming the booking means you accept those terms.
A booking is a commitment of someone's working time. Please arrive on time, and cancel or reschedule as early as you can if your plans change.
Businesses manage their own calendars. On rare occasions a business may need to reschedule or cancel. If that happens we will let you know through the contact details in your account.
6. Prices and payments
- Prices are set by each business and are shown before you book.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. LotusBookings does not store full card numbers.
- When you add a payment method, you confirm that you are allowed to use it and you authorize the charges shown at booking, including any deposit and any cancellation or no-show charge under the policy you accepted.
- Tips are optional and go to the professional.
- Refunds follow the policy of the business you booked with. Some payments are taken directly by the business at its location; those are between you and the business.
7. Cancellations, no-shows and deposits
Each business sets its own cancellation, no-show and deposit policy. You will always see it before you book, and it is the policy that applies to that booking.
In-home massage
For in-home massage arranged through LotusBookings, this policy applies:
8. In-home massage
In-home massage is a special service arranged through LotusBookings and performed by independent, licensed massage therapists. Home visits are available only for massage; no other trade offers home visits through LotusBookings.
When you book an in-home massage you agree to:
- give a correct address inside the United States and be present for the whole appointment;
- provide a safe, clean and private space with enough room for a massage table;
- keep pets and other people from interfering with the session;
- treat the therapist with respect. Massage is a professional health and wellness service. Any sexual request, harassment or threatening behavior ends the session immediately, is charged in full, and leads to removal from LotusBookings.
The therapist may decline or end a session if the place does not feel safe or if massage is not advisable for you that day.
9. Verification of professionals
Before a business or professional can list on LotusBookings, we verify their identity and, where the trade requires it, their professional license.
Verification is not a guarantee. It does not mean we endorse a professional or promise a particular result, and it cannot predict how any person will act. Use your own judgment, read reviews, and contact the business with any questions before you book.
10. Health and personal information you share
Some services ask you for information before your appointment, for example allergies, skin conditions, injuries or pregnancy. Please answer honestly and completely: the professional relies on it to serve you safely.
That information is shared with the business you booked so it can provide the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled, and Your Privacy Choices explains the choices you have.
Nothing on LotusBookings is medical advice. If you have a health condition, ask your doctor whether a service is right for you.
11. Reviews and content you post
Only a client with a completed appointment booked through LotusBookings can leave a review. Reviews must describe your own real experience. Our rules are explained in How reviews work.
You keep ownership of the reviews, photos and other content you post. You give LotusBookings a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and distribute that content in connection with the service, including on the business's public page. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not violate anyone else's rights. See our Copyright Policy.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- make bookings you do not intend to keep, or book on behalf of someone under 21;
- harass, threaten or discriminate against a professional, a business or another person;
- post false, misleading, abusive or unlawful content;
- use the service for anything illegal, or to request services a professional is not licensed to perform;
- copy, scrape or collect data from LotusBookings by automated means, or interfere with how it works;
- try to get around security, verification or location controls.
13. Suspension and closing your account
You may stop using LotusBookings and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to [email protected]. Charges for bookings already made, and any cancellation charge that applies, remain due.
We may suspend or close an account, or cancel a booking, if we reasonably believe this agreement has been broken, if there is a risk to a professional, a client or the platform, or if the law requires it.
14. Disclaimers
LotusBookings is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the service, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not promise that the marketplace will always be available or free of errors, that listings are complete or accurate at every moment, or that a service booked through us will meet your expectations. The businesses and professionals are solely responsible for the services they perform.
15. Limitation of liability and your responsibility
To the extent the law allows, LotusBookings LLC, its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for personal injury, property damage or loss that results from a service performed by a business or professional, or from the conduct of any user.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid through LotusBookings for the booking that gave rise to the claim.
Some states do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to cover LotusBookings for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of this agreement, your misuse of the service, or content you post.
16. Governing law, changes and contact
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Consumer protections that the law of your state gives you and that cannot be waived continue to apply.
We may update this agreement. When we make an important change, we will post the new version here with a new date and give notice through the service or by email. If you keep using LotusBookings after a change takes effect, you accept the updated agreement.
If one part of this agreement cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force.
Si no logras resolverlo, escríbenos e intentaremos ayudarte.
4. Tu cuenta
Masaje a domicilio
8. Masaje a domicilio
- dar una dirección correcta dentro de Estados Unidos y estar presente durante toda la cita;
- ofrecer un espacio seguro, limpio y privado, con lugar suficiente para una camilla de masaje;
- evitar que mascotas u otras personas interrumpan la sesión;
12. Uso aceptable
Te comprometes a no:
- hacer reservas que no piensas cumplir, ni reservar a nombre de alguien menor de 21 años;
- acosar, amenazar o discriminar a un profesional, a un negocio o a otra persona;
- publicar contenido falso, engañoso, abusivo o ilegal;
- usar el servicio para algo ilegal, ni para pedir servicios que un profesional no está autorizado a realizar;
- copiar, extraer o recopilar datos de LotusBookings por medios automatizados, ni interferir con su funcionamiento;
